You Don't Need a Personal Trainer to Lose Weight

It is genuinely astounding the number of people who feel that they are incapable of losing weight without employing an expensive personal trainer on a weekly basis. The fact of the matter is that regardless of whether or not you have a personal trainer, you should be able to achieve weight loss at a level that you have never experienced before - by learning just a few tips and tricks.

In this article, we will provide you with these tips (yes, they are free!) so that you can get started on weight loss right away. You might be surprised at just how simple these techniques are!

The Simple Weight Loss Equation

What many people don't realize is that weight loss is really quite simple. Ultimately, all it takes is a basic understanding of how the body and the metabolism interact, and you will be able to gain a huge upper hand on people who have no clue on the relationship.

Take a look at the following equation, and think to yourself whether or not it makes sense in the bigger picture of "weight loss":

Energy intake - Energy expenditure = Fat storage.

What this equation is saying is that if you take in more energy than you burn, the difference is going to end up on your hips, chin, or thighs. Alternatively, if you burn more energy than you take in, you are ultimately going to lose weight in the long term.

There are no exceptions to this equation. Seriously, unlike in other mathematical equations, there are literally no exclusions - because the body is not able to do complicated algebra. It is a simple system, and when it comes to fat storage and loss, it is a very simple equation.

Easy Tips to Balance the Equation

To encourage weight loss, there are two things we can do:

  • Decrease Energy Intake.
  • Increase Energy Expenditure.

That's it! If you want to lose weight, you need to take in less fuel than you are burning on a daily basis. If you can achieve this, the body literally has no choice but to shed pounds.

Of course there are thousands of different ways that you can perform the two tasks listed above - some easier than others. We'll leave the discussion of that to another article.
